Over 250 works by 33 artists reveal a diverse range of techniques and stitch themes, from traditional and historic approaches, to work which represents and interprets stitches and materials in new and exciting ways.
There is a rich variety of inspiration and purpose in the
works, some intended for domestic use, others for institutional
or ecclesiastical decoration, and drawing on images from the
natural world as well as abstract and traditional motifs.
