Donald Ramsay
Artist in a Landscape
4 October - 2 November
2008
A selection of the artist's paintings from 1994 to 2008, part
of a continuing journey.
A quest to paint in authentic and direct response to the natural
world has formed his evolving interpretive vision of the Australian
landscape.
'I think it's important for an artist to go out into the
wilderness landscape to keep interpreting it, to keep it alive
in our day-to-day consciousness.'
The works encompass a diverse range of locations in Australia,
from the Kimberley and Central Australia to Victoria. There are
also some works from Ramsay's time in Europe.
